Clarityn Allergy tablets contain the active substance Loratidine which belongs to a class of medicines called 'antihistamines'.

Clarityn Allergy tablets help to reduce your allergy symptoms by stopping the effects of a substance called 'histamine', which is produced in the body when you are allergic to something.

Clarityn Allergy Tablets relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (for example, hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and burning or itchy eyes

The following side effects have occurred, but only rarely:

• Tiredness
• Nausea
• Headache
• Hair Loss
• Allergic Shock

Clarityn Allergy Tablets PIL

Adults and children over 12 years of age:
Take one tablet once daily with a glass of water, with or without food.
Children 2 to 12 years of age are dosed by weight:
Body weight more than 30 kg:
Take one tablet once daily with a glass of water, with or without food

Do not take Clarityn Allergy tablets
– If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of Clarityn Allergy
tablets.
Take special care with Clarityn Allergy tablets
Before taking Clarityn Allergy tablets, tell your doctor or pharmacist:
– if you have liver disease.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines,
including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Laboratory tests:
If you are scheduled to have any skin tests for allergies you should not take Clarityn Allergy tablets
for two days before having these tests, because this medicine may affect test results.
Taking Clarityn Allergy tablets with food and drink
Clarityn Allergy tablets can be taken with or without a meal.
Clarityn Allergy tablets has not been shown to add to the effects of an alcoholic drink.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant, taking Clarityn Allergy tablets is not recommended.
If you are nursing, taking Clarityn Allergy tablets is not recommended. Loratadine is excreted in the
breast milk.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Driving and using machines
At the recommended dose, Clarityn Allergy tablets is not expected to cause you to be drowsy
or less alert. However, very rarely some people experience drowsiness, which
may affect their ability to drive or use machines.

Clarityn Allergy tablets contains lactose; thus if you have been told
by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact
your doctor before taking this medicinal product.

Other ingredients : Hydrous Lactose, Maize Starch, Magnesium Stearate.
