What causes diarrhoea?
Diarrhoea is when you pass looser or more frequent stools, which can be distressing.
It is a common problem which affects most people from time to time.
There are many different causes of diarrhoea, including bowel infections which can sometimes be caught when travelling abroad, a food allergy, or anxiety.
How long should diarrhoea last?
Diarrhoea will usually clear up after a few days, but it can lead to dehydration so you should drink plenty of water. You should stay at home to avoid passing the infection to others.
You can speak to your local Rightdose pharmacist for health advice, you can also watch the NHS guide to treating diarrhoea.
