who Is Eligible For The RSV Vaccine?

The RSV vaccine is offered on the NHS to patients aged 75 and over and pregnant women. 

We offer the vaccine privately to those aged 60 and above and also those aged 18-59 who are at increased risk of RSV. Our pharmacists can advise whether the RSV vaccine is suitable for you during your appointment.

What happens during the appointment?

The pharmacist will ask you a few questions to make sure the vaccine is suitable for you. Your vaccination will be given into the upper arm so make sure you wear a short-sleeved or loose-fitted upper garment / top.

Can I get the Flu Vaccine if I feel unwell?

If you have a fever or are feeling acutely unwell, we may recommend postponing your RSV vaccination until you recover.

Will I get side effects of the RSV Vaccine?

Most side effects are mild and temporary. Common side effects include soreness at the injection site, headache and mild muscle aches.
