Telfast is used by adults and children over the age of 12 for seasonal allergic rhinitis which is more commonly known as hayfever.
Hayfever is when the mucus member of the nose and eyes swells up due to the pollen in the environment. Telfast contains the active ingredient fexofenadine which is an antihistamine it helps with symptoms such as sneezing, itchy, runny, blocked nose as well as itchy, red and watery eyes. Fexofenadine is known as a non-sedating antihistamine however you should be aware there are a small number of people to whom it may cause drowsiness.
Telfast should be taken before meals and starts working within one hour of ingestion. so you can take it only on days when you develop symptoms of hayfever or take it regularly for example during the spring and summer.
