Suresign 3x Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) tests are excellent for a quick and easy home screening process as they detect Leukocytes (LEU) & Nitrite (NIT and provide a result in just 2 minutes.

UTI test is a urine based test and can be used to provide a general indication of overall health and helps in detection of disease and infections that can affect the kidneys, urinary tract. 

Urine testing is a useful procedure as an indicator of health or disease as the composition of the urine can change markedly when a wide variety of diseases or infections are present.

Because urine testing is simple to carry out, it can be part of health screening at home.

Each pack contains:

• 1 Colour Reference Card to compare results

This screening test detects Leukocytes & Nitrite, and if present or present at high levels can indicate illness or infection, mainly relating to the heart, liver, kidneys & urinary tract. Any colour change of the test strip can be compared with the colour chart provided to reveal the results.

• Nitrite: Nitrite is not decectable in normal urine. Positive nitrite can be indicative of urinary tract infection.

Screening test contains 3 test strips, allowing you to test different members of the family at regular intervals, or when you feel unwell.

Storage and stability

• Store in the sealed pouch either refrigerated or at room temperature (2-30C).
• Do not freeze.
• Keep out of sunlight.
• Do not open the sealed pouch until ready to carry out the test.

Do not use the strips after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Directions:

Please carefully read the enclosed leaflet before use.

• Remove the strip from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible.
• Hold the end of the strip farthest away from the test pads. Dip the test pads of the strip completely into fresh urine for 1-2 seconds and remove it immediately.
• Run the edge of the strip against the rim of the urine container to remove excess urine
• After removing the strip from your urine, immediately bring the edge of the strip into contact with an absorbent material (e.g. paper towel). Lay the strip with the pads facing upwards and begin timing.
• Read the results. After the specified times shown on the colour chart, compare the colour of the test pads with the colour blocks on the colour chart. 
• To analyse or compare results hold the strip close to the colour blocks and match it carefully.

Note: Results may be read up to 2 minutes after the specified times.

People taking vitamin C may have large amounts of ascorbic acid in their urine which interfere with test accuracy and may give false results for nitrite readings.

• Not for internal use.
• Do not touch the reagent pads on the strip.
• Keep the strip in the sealed pouch until use.
• Do not use the strips after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Discard any discoloured strips as they may have deteriorated.
• The used strip should be discarded hygienically with normal household waste.

All urine specimens should be handled with care. Wash hands thoroughly after using the test.
