Overview

Numark Dispersible Aspirin 75mg Tablets (Pack of 28)

Aspirin is an antiplatelet agent that helps prevent your blood cells sticking together and forming a clot.

Numark dispersible aspirin tablets provide a daily low-dose of aspirin which is known to thin the blood.

It helps to prevent blood clots in people who have had a stroke, heart attacks and strokes, also or can be used after bypass surgery.

Each coated tablet contains Aspirin 75 mg.

  • Helps to prevent heart attacks and strokes
  • Dissolves in water
  • Lowers likelihood of blood clots
  • Assists proper blood circulation
  • Suitable for those who have undergone bypass surgery

Your doctor may recommend this medicine if you've ever experienced a stroke or a heart attack.

Aspirin in low doses makes the blood less sticky which can help to prevent recurring heart attacks or strokes.  A heart attack or stroke occurs when blood clots too quickly and blocks the artery, stopping the heart from effectively pumping blood around the body.

Other medicines and Aspirin 75 mg Tablets.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
The effect of treatment may be influenced if acetylsalicylic acid is taken at the same time as some other medicines for:
- thinning of the blood/prevention of clots (e.g. warfarin, heparin, clopidogrel)
- rejection of organ after transplantation (cyclosporine, tacrolimus)
- high blood pressure (e.g. diuretics and ACE-inhibitors)
- regulation of the heart beat (digoxin)
- manic-depressive illness (lithium)
- pain and inflammation (e.g. NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and metamizole, or steroids)
- gout (e.g. probenecid)
- epilepsy (valproate, phenytoin)
- glaucoma (acetazolamide)
- cancer or rheumatoid arthritis (methotrexate; in doses higher than 15 mg per week)
- diabetes (e.g. glibenclamide)
- depression (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as sertraline or paroxetine).
- use as hormone replacement therapy when the adrenal glands or pituitary gland have been destroyed or removed, or to treat inflammation, including rheumatic diseases and inflammation of the intestines (corticosteroids)
Metamizole (substance to decrease pain and fever) may reduce the effect of acetylsalicylic acid on platelet aggregation (blood cells sticking together and forming a blood clot), when taken concomitantly. Therefore, this combination should be used with caution in patients taking low dose aspirin for cardioprotection.
