Corsodyl Treatment Mouthwash contains 0.2% of the active ingredient chlorhexidine digluconate. This works to kill the plaque bacteria which can irritate the gums and cause gum disease.

The active ingredient, chlorhexidine digluconate acts rapidly, to kill the bacteria that cause plaque within 30 seconds. It also forms a protective antibacterial layer over the teeth and gums to prevent plaque build up for up to 12 hours.

Side Effects

With prolonged use, Corsodyl treatment mouthwash may cause temporary staining of the teeth. This can normally be removed by brushing. You can reduce the risk of staining by avoiding eating or drinking dark coloured food and drinks such as tea, coffee or red wine

Corsodyl may also cause discoloration of the tongue, but this is not permanent and disappears after treatment is stopped.
