What is Radian B?

What are the ingredients in Radian B?
Radian B Muscle Rub is a cream containing menthol, camphor, methyl salicylate and capsicum oleoresin.

How does Radian B work?
Methyl salicylate is a derivative of aspirin and has an anti-inflammatory effect. When applied to the skin it is absorbed into the underlying tissues, where it reduces pain and inflammation in the local area.

Camphor, methyl salicylate and capsicum oleoresin are counter-irritants. When applied to the skin they cause redness and a sensation of heat to be produced. This distracts the brain from the original pain and therefore reduces the perception of pain.

Menthol causes the blood vessels on the surface of the skin to widen. It causes a sensation of coldness followed by a reduction in pain.

How do I use Radian B?
For adults and children over six years of age, the cream should be applied to the painful area and slowly massaged in. For muscle strains and stiffness it is best applied after a warm bath.

Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream to avoid getting it in your eyes or transferring it to sensitive areas of skin.

Apply to the affected area & slowly massage well into the skin. For muscular strains & stiffness it is best used after a warm bath. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Use sparingly on tender skin and do not cover the skin immediately after application.

Keep out of the reach of children. Not suitable for children under 6 years. Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not use if you are taking warfarin without first seeking medical consultation. Do not use if you are allergic or sensitive to aspirin or any of the other listed ingredients. Do not use on irritated or broken skin, face, eyes and sensitive areas.
