Avoca is a highly effective wart and verruca treatment. However, it can also be used to treat:
- Skin tags
- Umbilical stumps
- Granulation tissue (scabs)
The active ingredient in Avoca is silver nitrate. This works by burning away excess skin, causing warts or verrucas to fall off.
This promotes the growth of healthy tissue, helping wounds to heal more effectively.
Using Avoca is quick and easy, and you should be wart-free in just a few days.
Using Avoca silver nitrate stick
When using Avoca, you will need to have a few other things at hand. These are:
- A clean, non-absorbent surface
- Paper tissue
- Petroleum jelly
First, put a drop of water onto a clean surface, and place the tip of the Avoca stick in the water. This will activate the silver nitrate.
Leave the stick in the water for 20 seconds. Apply petroleum jelly to the healthy skin around the affected area, and apply the Avoca stick to the area. Allow the area to dry naturally, and wipe the tip of the stick with paper tissue.
After 24 hours, you should see the wart begin to turn black and die. File away any dead skin with an emery board.
Warts should be treated once a day for three days, while verrucas may need to be treated for six days.
